ABOUT OUR CLIENT - Quality Solutions company located in the Houston-Galleria area JOB SUMMARY Web Developer candidate works alongside a small team of Web developers to sustain and enhance the company’s Web space, including the public Web site, the private intranet, and a shared SharePoint collaboration space. Key development projects include the design, development, and deployment of a new company-wide content management system using Sitecore, ASP.NET (C#), and SQL Server, as well as the migration of legacy JSP applications to a shared .NET environment. Strong ASP.NET (C#) skills are a must (v3.5 preferred). REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Technical (minimum): -3+ years of ASP.NET (C#) experience, including extensive use of master pages, custom controls, and security framework -At least 1 year as lead ASP.NET developer (v2.0 minimum, v3.5 preferred) -Experience with ASP.NET caching techniques, best practices, and enterprise scalability -Experience constructing SQL Server stored procedures, triggers, and advanced queries -Experience provisioning Web applications for public consumption, including IIS and SQL security considerations -Must read hand-written HTML, JavaScript, and CSS with ease and hand-code when necessary -Experience working within VSS or SVN version control repository -Experience designing search-engine friendly applications REQUIRED FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE -Desire and ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment -Strong oral and written communications skills -Strong organizational skills -Good project management skills -Ability to effectively multitask assignments -Ability to approach problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm and innovation. -Ability to interface with people at all levels of the company -Must be customer-focused and a team player -Provide support after normal work hours when necessary -Good problem solving skills, analytical ability and judgment Up to 10% travel PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE -Experience with various collaboration approaches and tools (SharePoint/MOSS 2007) -Experience with Web analytics, including use of Google Analytics and ad-hoc tools for conversion tracking -Experience with multilingual and XML-driven Web site maintenance -Prior experience deploying applications in a multi-server, Web farm environment -Prior experience with content management systems (Sitecore, Mediasurface, or Oracle Portal) -Working knowledge of Java (Servlets, JSP) and associated platforms (Apache, Tomcat, Squid) -Prior experience developing with Classic ASP EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS -BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience Preference given to candidates with some prior cross-platform experience (JSP, Apache, Tomcat, Squid, Oracle, Mediasurface Morello).
