JOB SUMMARY
The selected individual will join our client’s Corporate Systems Group to provide primary web design and development and content management support for the company’s corporate Internet and Intranet web sites. Other secondary duties include business analysis work to implement web-based content for key departments (e.g. Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, and Human Resources) and various other business units.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3 to 5+ years related experience in supporting corporate intranet / internet web sites
- 3 to 5+ years web and graphic design experience
- Proficient in visual design concepts
- Proficient in current HTML standards and aware of the differences between all the HTML version standards, as adopted by the W3C
- JavaScript
- DHTML
- XML
- Able to write server-side dynamic web pages, such as Active Server Pages (ASP), ASPX using VBScript / VB
- Understand techniques to optimize all file formats for online viewing
- Microsoft FrontPage
- Notepad
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Macromedia Flash
- Microsoft Office
- Adobe Acrobat
- Basic system administration of Microsoft IIS server
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong understanding of web design and graphic presentation
- Good editing and proofreading skills
REQUIRED FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of related experience in a corporation of comparable size and complexity
- Works well in a team environment including internal resources and external parties
- Excellent communication, writing, and personal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
- Responsible team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Self motivated individual who can learn quickly in a fast paced environment
- Ability to respond to tight deadlines with time sensitive materials
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology or related discipline or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience
JOB DUTIES
- Provide timely updates and maintenance for corporate internet and intranet sites
- Support key business departments (Corporate Communications, Human Resources, etc.) in addition to various business units and individual users company-wide to develop strategies, define business requirements and processes, identify best-fit solutions and implement web-based content for intranet/internet sites
- Provide content development / site management and day-to-day support for information on the company’s internal website (Intranet) and external / public website; includes primary ownership of development, support and maintenance of HTML, graphics and related content
- Provide guidance/support of content directly managed / maintained by individual business owners
- Provide server support (NT / Win2K), website related configurations (IIS), user administration and file system / share management for content management on the intranet, corporate and project-based websites hosted at the company
- Participate as a key team member responsible for researching and recommending new tools to enhance presentation and usefulness of data
- Provide and manage tools and technology to monitor site usage and provide management with key metrics and improvement activities
- Includes site / content administration, vendor maintenance and user administration setup and support for 3rd party hosted applications
- Maintain infrastructure and server-related documentation

PAY & BENEFITS
- Approximately $35-40 / hour, depending on experience
