JOB SUMMARY
Our client is currently seeking a Director of Acquisition Analytics. This position will work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, VP of Direct Marketing, Operations, Product Management and Creative to ensure that marketing programs are producing a positive return on investment.
The Director of Acquisition Analytics plays a critical role within the Marketing Team with responsibility for leading media tracking strategy, execution, analysis, and testing plans that drive improved customer acquisition costs and awareness. The Director of Acquisition Analytics will lead Online and Offline initiatives to successful completion based on business analytics and using a disciplined approach to testing based on clear objectives and methodologies. The Director of Acquisition Analytics will oversee all creative testing, on and off site analytics, and will work closely with the creative staff and media teams.
This position also is responsible for analyzing and reporting all marketing data, both Online and Offline, to Sr. Management. Measures include key performance indicators, Omniture reporting, ad tracking, Media Metrix and internal marketing metrics.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 5-10 years business analytics experience
- 5 years online media tracking experience
- 5 years direct marketing experience
- Experience with syndicated Online research tools required (Media Metrix, NetRatings, etc.)
- Experience working with Online media measurement tools (Web Trends, ATLAS, Double Click - DART, Media Metrix, IPRO and others)
REQUIRED FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Adept at synthesizing simple, clear deductions from complex metrics analysis
- Proven ability to help generate creative tracking and analysis solutions for new, untested products and services
- Experience collaborating with web developers on the technical tracking specifications for products.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively with Marketing, IT and Business Development teams.
- Experience working across business disciplines to establish acquisition goals and provide forecasts.
- Strong quantitative, written, verbal and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
JOB DUTIES
- Manage a small team of Online Media and Reporting Analysts to track report and make performance recommendations on all media and business development relationships.
- Evaluate the performance of all media placements and business development deals on a CPA, ROI, and brand awareness basis.
- Develop hypotheses for improving the performance of site design, media buys, business development deals, creative, and copy placements.
- Report and analyze the effectiveness of media plans to ensure that they meet the goals and objectives developed jointly by Product and Marketing.
- Develop disciplined testing strategies in collaboration with Marketing, Product Management and Technology teams.
- Work closely with External and Internal measurement tools to understand the best strategies for increasing results on key measurement tools.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly assess technical feasibility and/or p problem areas to be resolved in close cooperation with the technical team.
- Develop detailed data reporting requirements.
- Analyze detailed metrics of consumer behavior; develop insights from reports.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously and make appropriate choices on resource allocation.
- Work closely with Product and Media Managers to provide statistical analysis on how products are performing against goals.
- Collaborate with CMO and Vice President of Direct Marketing to develop campaign performance optimization recommendations.
- Work closely with Technology to make certain the company is mining all available data with the proper tools to make sound business decisions.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- BS/BA degree is required; economics degree preferred
